Our client is a well-established and respected construction company with over 50 years in the industry; as a tier 1 contractor they have an impressive private and public portfolio of build, refurbishment and expansion projects with values in excess of 200m+. They are a principal supply chain partner on a number of a high-profile framework agreements and are a trusted organisation who are strongly cash positive with a healthy track-record of profit growth.
The Project
As a highly experienced Project Director, you will be working on a 250m New Build Residential Development in Leeds. You will oversee the project from conception to completion, interacting with both internal stakeholders and the client. You must be able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results and ensure the project is delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
- SMSTS
- Valid CSCS Card
- First Aid - Desirable
It is also essential that you hold the experience below;
- Proven industry expertise with a track record of successfully managing the overall delivery of projects in excess of 50m
- Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working in a Project Director or similar position
- Experience working on projects within residential / commercial sectors is advantageous however all candidates with a portfolio of delivering medium-large scale projects are of interest

Duties
- Chair regular meetings
- Develop and manage project budgets
- Carry out health and safety procedures
- Supporting and leading the project team
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment
- Assemble project team and assign tasks to team member
- Provide leadership and guidance to project team members
- Monitor progress of project team by holding reviews regularly
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues
- Conduct inspections to verify work quality and compliance with specifications
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure that all parties involved in the project adhere to contract terms and conditions
- Make certain all employees under your control develop and progress within the business
- Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure construction standards are met
- Planning and overall control of all site operations to ensure that the project targets are achieved
- Impose strict snagging, handover and aftercare measures to achieve zero defects upon completion
- Organising and overseeing the site team and all construction procedures to ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Monitor and control of sub-contractors on site and developing subcontractor relationships to ensure the successful delivery of the project
- Working closely with and reporting to Operations Director Provide to provide regular updates on project status, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and solutions
- Work closely with internal teams, external consultants, and client representatives to establish clear communication channels and foster collaboration requirements
