Freelance Project Manager - 9 months work - Commercial Fit-Out - Bristol

Specialist Principal contractor has secured a 4m fit-out of a 6-floor, tired old 1960's office building in Bristol city centre.

The works comprise gutting it and bringing it back to Grade A prime office space. Refurbishment of the central core, new toilets, new lifts, new Cat A, new mechanical and new reception. All in all, a very nice, relatively straight forward Cat A office job.

The site works are due to commence in November (strip out) with the main construction activity due to start after xmas. There is an immediate need for an experienced Project Manager to join now in order to start looking at logistics, how they do the job, meet the subbies, look at the construction phase plan, arrange and coordinate pre-start meetings etc.

In November the Project Manager will be joined by a construction manager and document controller (both of which they will also need to recruit).

This Project Manager job in Bristol could also be referred to as Site Manager, Senior Site Manager, Project Manager or Construction Manager

Experience required:
Project lead
Able to demonstrate full responsibility from start to finish on fit-out project values from 1m - 4m
Detailed understanding of the design, interiors and construction processes (and complexities),
including the interfaces between designers, contractors and any 3rd party authorities
Able to cover most project wide matters to overcome programme and cost constraints in order to deliver the client's requirements.
Current SMSTS and 1st Aid
Good communicator
Computer Literate
