We're on the lookout for a Project Manager to join our well established and expanding client based in Loughborough on a full time, permanent basis.
The Role:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the oversight, organisation and management of the fit-out process for all future UK branches. This role involves working alongside contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders. The successful candidate will be required to independently manage the installation, updating, and servicing of current displays within the showrooms.
This role will be based at the clients Head Office in Loughborough, however regular visits to UK showrooms will be required which includes working away from home and occasional weekend and late night working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing new showroom fit-outs and updating existing showrooms when new product lines are introduced.
- Coordinating with management teams to ensure work is completed around existing schedules.
- Overseeing seasonal maintenance and small showroom-oriented projects
- Control all operational and commercial aspects of showroom projects.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Report back to the leadership team on project status and progress.
- Keep all involved parties regularly updated on project progress and any changes.
- Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of works.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to specifications.
- Ensure Health and Safety regulations are met at all times.
- Work independently and adhere to tight deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
- Manage subcontractors and trades on-site to ensure timely and quality completion of tasks.
- Control project budgets to maximise efficiency and profitability.
- Oversee site inductions and ensure all aspects of Health and Safety are managed.
- Conduct and arrange snagging of works, ensuring any issues are rectified to the correct standard.
- Organise and manage internal, client, and subcontractor meetings.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and progress reports.
- Manage the tender process when considering new contractors.
- Work alongside our purchasing and marketing teams to ensure new products are displayed in showrooms in line with website sales.
- Optimise showroom display spaces and ensure display data is always accurate and up to date.
- Ensure H&S and Fire Safety standards are implemented and meet requirements before opening a new showroom.
- Ensure an operation and maintenance (O&M) manual is prepared for all new fit-outs detailing how to manage and maintain a facility or property.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven Project Management experience in a fit-out background.
- PMP Qualifications (Prince2, AMP)
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Full UK driving license.
- Financial and commercial awareness.
- Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns.
- Willingness to work nights and weekends when needed.
- Ability to travel often and for extended periods.
- Excellent team-working skills.
- Strong, effective communicator with good written skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software would be an advantage.
- Understanding of HVAC and M&E works.
- Attention to detail and an eye for design/layouts.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on approach when needed.
