Project Manager (Power)
Toro Recruitment is searching for a Civils Project Manager to join a DNO / ICP based in London. Our client is expanding its team and seeks a dedicated individual with proven project management experience in the Power Distribution sector.
As a Civils Project Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of projects within a portfolio of works, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The Civils Project Manager will play a crucial role in managing these projects from start to finish.
The project consists of the excavation of utility trenches, utility maintenance/upgrades/connections, and backfill and reinstatement. We are looking for candidates who can manage this entire process and have knowledge of the Power sector from a DNO / ICP / IDNO background.
Responsibilities of the Civils Project Manager will include:
- Leading and managing project teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Developing project plans, timelines, and budgets in coordination with stakeholders.
- Monitoring project progress and identifying potential risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and quality standards throughout project execution.
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain effective communication and resolve any project-related issues.
- Managing project finances, including cost control, budget monitoring, and financial reporting.
- Providing regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, including senior management.
- Overseeing the procurement of materials and services necessary for project execution.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the Power Distribution sector.
- A background in civil engineering or electrical engineering, either through education or hands-on experience.
- Knowledge of HSG47, Streetworks, and Highways work.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and quality standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to manage project budgets and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in project planning and management tools and software (MS Projects or equivalent).
What this position offers:
- Competitive salary: GBP60,000-GBP70,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
- Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week.
- Probation period: 3 months.
- Company vehicle or allowance: GBP500 per month.
- Holiday entitlement: 33 days (inclusive of public/bank holidays).
