Our client is currently seeking an Operations Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role, you'll be stationed at their Carlisle site, overseeing one of their existing contracts with diligence and expertise.
In addition to the rewarding role you'll be doing, they also offer competitive compensation, including a salary of circa 42,000 - 46,000 per annum depending upon experience. As Operations Manager your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with external hauliers to optimise outbound schedules.
- Coordinating with the client's health and safety team to ensure compliance.
- Engaging with other on-site contractors for seamless operations.
- Overseeing the administration of outbound and inbound processes.
- Managing the preparation of materials at the front end of manufacturing.
- Prioritising the training and development of the current team.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement on-site.
To be successful in the position of Operations Manager, you will possess the following key skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience in warehouse management.
- Proven ability to manage, lead and motivate teams.
- A background in manufacturing would be highly advantageous.
- Essential knowledge of health and safety protocols.
- Vital experience in training and development.
- A thorough understanding of 3PL operations.
- Budgetary acumen is a must.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Previous client management experience is essential.
- Familiarity with unionised sites is required.
- Transport knowledge is advantageous.
- Proficiency in SAP is desirable.
