Svella Connect is a leading provider of telecoms and digital infrastructure, building and installing high-speed broadband networks to help connect businesses and residents with full-fibre internet. With depots in Warrington, Leeds and Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, we are a leading contractor for telecoms and internet providers such as Virgin Media and carry out a range of projects across Yorkshire, Midlands and the North West.

Drive and rollout successful network expansion and develop operational teams to ensure targets are met, while maintaining contract performance and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Client management lead to support key workstreams
- Delivery of Fibre, FTTP projects - utilising PIA, underground and overhead
- Resource management, to include subcontract teams to meet demands and challenges
- Help develop required department structure
- Management reporting into client and internal senior management
- Representation of the company at client meetings
- Oversee the running of all field operations
- Ensure the whereabouts of staff tracking them with progress reports
- Management and development of staff (monthly 1-1's, team meetings, objective setting, performance management )
- Field visibility 2-3 times a week to drive performance with the field teams
- Weekly reporting to the Head of Department
- Daily calls to drive the plan vs actuals delivery from the field
- Weekly planning sign-off for the following weeks plan
- Own and drive the incentive scheme and govern compliance
- Own the safety plan for all field employees
- M anagement of the P&L, costs and budgets for your areas
- Adherence to health, safety and environmental policies
- Previous, practical experience in Operational Manager capacity
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Telecoms and FTTP Networks
- NRSWA Accreditation (desirable)
- Experience in managing field operational teams in an FTTP delivery environment
- Strong skills in client management, planning and resource management
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and working knowledge of work management systems
