Senior IT Business Partner
The RAC is entering a new and exciting phase of its evolution, building on our 120 year heritage and entering a new chapter. The Technology team is right at the centre of that evolution and the Change & Delivery team will be instrumental in executing on our vision.
We are looking to recruit a Senior Business Partner, reporting to the Director of IT Change & Delivery, based in Bescot (with travel to Bristol). This role will lead the engagement, demand management and delivery for both the Operations and Business Roadside portfolios overseeing all change pertaining to our B2B business and customers (including tender responses), as well as our day-to-day operational roadside capability.
Sitting on the leadership team of the Change & Delivery function, this is a senior role within an engaged and talented team of change professionals, delivering the future capability the RAC needs to compete in the 21st century.
The successful candidate will have a wide remit and will take accountability for initiating, shaping, and leading the successful delivery of IT & Change programmes/project portfolios and Bids & Deals through:
-Owning the day-to-day management of the programme/portfolio on behalf of the business sponsor
-Ownership and Co-ordination of the projects and their interdependencies
-Creation and running of the necessary governance structures and accountability
-Reviewing programme to ensure alignment with business strategic objectives, within budget and agreed timescales
-Working with business managers to ensure appropriate benefit realisation strategies are in place
-Identification, analysis and management of risks, issues and dependencies through the definition and implementation of appropriate management strategies
-Facilitating the appointment and management of resources against plan
-Management of spend against baseline budget
-Management of 3rd party suppliers
Skills, Knowledge and qualifications:
This is a senior position within the RAC Technology team and so we are keen to start speaking with individuals possessing:
-Demonstrable ability to manage IT or change programmes, deliver high quality consultancy and support within a complex business services environment
-Strong relationship management skills and an engaging capability of working in collaboration with business areas and/or 3rd party suppliers
-High levels of commercial awareness and the ability to ensure that business objectives are met through the delivery of change
-Leadership skills working with complex teams in a matrix structure
