Our client is a leading and prestigious manufacturing company based near Downham Market, due to their continued growth and development they are seeking to employ a Quality Control Manager on a permanent basis.

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday 8am 5pm

42.5 hours per week (after breaks) 30 mins unpaid. 15 mins paid.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager and Production.

Competitive salary offered dependent on experience.

Overview:

The Quality Control Manager is to be responsible for the following points specifically, aimed at creating and maintaining a QC process within the business. Using our existing procedures, you will be required to focus your attention on the following points and quickly demonstrate improvements.

Duties and responsibilities, but not limited to:

Work closely with the Technical & operations department to identify key areas and constraints in the current QC processes.

Develop and enhance existing Quality control processes to implement a full QC package within the business. This should be an end-to-end process heavily focussed on procedures and auditing.

Identify and action quality checkpoints within each area of warehousing and production.

Conduct regular training sessions with the workshop teams using practical and theory. Proactively improve quality standards at source and enhance knowledge on the ground involving compliance.

Create and implement a standards document to be utilised in onboarding, ongoing training, and auditing processes.

Be the internal contact for Quality issues raised from Project Management and sales. This should involve visits to customer sites being a conduit for resolution of issues and advice to installation firms.

Experience required for the role:

Experience in quality control and auditing processes.

Strong background in joinery and carpentry.

Knowledge of fire door compliance in line with BS476.

Previous experience of fire door installation and maintenance is desirable.

Proven track record of leading teams in a supervisor or management position.

Strong communication and organisational skills.
