We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to provide essential support to our Project Managers and lead our team in delivering high-quality maintenance, construction, design, and project works with relation to Electrical Equipment. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant standards.



Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Direct and organise the development of maintenance, construction, design, and project works to meet key business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key senior customers, stakeholders, and suppliers within the Infrastructure Construction & Engineering (ICE) portfolio.
  • Help secure adequate resources and funding for efficient and safe delivery of the portfolio.
  • Ensure timely assignment of Construction Design Management (CDM) obligations for all projects.
  • Lead by example in the application of the client's Management System and promote continuous improvement.
  • Control and check the quality of work undertaken and ensure assets are compliant with standards.
  • Ensure that staff and subcontractors have appropriate and valid competencies.
  • Manage vehicles, plant, tools, equipment, and materials to ensure they are fit for use and correctly handled.
  • Accurately report all work completed / incomplete and maintain records.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and GDPR regulations.
  • Take responsibility for health and safety of peers and personally.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing complex delivery organisations, ideally within a Safety Critical environment.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role and industry.
  • HNC Engineering Qualification or equivalent.
  • Membership of a professional engineering body.
  • Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and databases.
  • Must have full access to transport for work-related travel.
