Are you an experienced Construction Project Manager? Are you based in or around Rochester?

Aggregate Industries are looking for an experienced construction project manager to support with a Capex project which involves the construction of a new conveyor. The successful applicant will have a strong knowledge of civils and construction and be able to confidently liaise with construction suppliers.

Role: Construction Project Manager

Location: Aggregate Industries, Port, Old Refinery Nr Thames, Rochester ME3 0EP (100% site based)

Rate: 500pd (outside IR35)

Contract length: 12 months

Shift Patterns: Mon-Fri, 08:30-17:30

Start: January 2025

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the construction and delivery of the new conveyor
  • Liaising with construction suppliers, construction manager, land owners and internal stakeholders on a daily basis
  • Completing and filing all necessary documentation to support the installation
  • Managing the project from inception to completion
  • Encouraging and directing the project team working on the project
  • Tracking project process and identifying issues ahead of them occurring
  • Managing risk and reporting to stakeholders accordingly
  • Keeping stakeholders update with project progress
  • Advocating and encouraging a strong Health and Safety ethos on site at all times
  • Provide feedback towards cost saving techniques and recommendations to the procurement team

Essential requirements:

  • Experience managing projects within a complex construction environment
  • Educated to degree level in construction or relevant topic
  • In depth knowledge around project planning, implementation and management
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets and maintain a budget successfully
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of IT literacy
  • Strong knowledge of UK based Health and Safety legislation
  • Good engagement, motivation and negotiation skill
  • Ability to act with integrity at all times
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle
