The Programme Management Office are a year into delivering a new strategic vision for how we iniate, progress and close out our projects. With exciting opportunities the team are responsible for a wide range of activities which are fundamental the success of British Land. 

The Role

  • This is an exciting opportunity for someone to influence the strategic decisions and priorities of a FTSE 100 company
  • The role will involve working closely with senior people with a reporting requirement to Executive Committees
  • To support in the successful delivery of projects and business activity across the portfolio including leasing, corporate projects and portfolio-wide programmes
  • The role will enable you to gain exposure to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders whilst taking ownership of key business processes
  • Provide an opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of leasing, asset management, property management, property development and project management

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide stakeholders with support and guidance on project / programme management procedures and toolkits, as well as the navigation of corporate governance requirements
  • Aid with the creation of toolkits, templates and maintenance thereof
  • Take ownership of the leasing schedule reporting process
  • Take ownership of the AMI (Asset Management Iniative) reporting process
  • Proactive management of status updates for corporate projects as part of the Group PMO reporting function
  • Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders in order to maintain information flow and build effective relationships
  • Assist stakeholders and project sponsors with the creation of suitable project briefs and business cases
  • Take responsibility for organising and diarising meetings for working groups and Steerco’s
  • Assist with the preparation of reports and presentation material for distribution to executive committees
  • Ensure project plans and documentation are maintained and distributed as required
  • Facilitate Programme and Project meetings (including project reviews and external supplier meetings); issuing invites, preparing agendas and taking and distributing accurate minutes in a timely fashion
  • Carry out relevant follow up work to meetings, ensuring actions are captured, distributed and closed out and researching potential solutions and service providers
  • Support other business areas during key times such as year end reporting

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to interact and influence a wide range of stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to work as part of team or individually to achieve shared goals
  • Ability to prioritise work with competing deadlines in order to respond to the changing internal environment
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a portfolio of responsibilities
  • Be keen to learn with a proactive approach to seeking information
  • Proven track record of delivering on commitments to a high level
  • Inquisitive nature and comfortable working with data
  • Possess the ability to be analytical to establish potential gaps, risk and/or business opportunities
  • Real Estate / Retail experience preferred, but not essential
