Large Format Print Operations Manager

We re working with a large format graphics, exhibitions and retail fit out business based in Glasgow who are currently on the market to add to their senior management team. Operating out of the company s modern head offices they work hard to supply both global brands and local companies across a variety of different industries.

This person will hold overall responsibility for the production department and associated areas of the business - managing the workflow and team from the art studio through to printing and finishing. The position joins the business at senior leadership level and has the potential to become a Director level role in the medium term.

The Role

• Oversee all aspects of production, ensuring quality and deadlines are consistently met.
• Develop and implement production schedules, balancing workload to maximize efficiency.
• Lead and motivate a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to understand client requirements and expectations.
• Manage equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and supplies.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to streamline production.
• Resolve operational issues and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Develop KPIs to track productivity, quality, and efficiency, and prepare regular reports for senior management.

The Candidate

• 5+ years of experience at senior management level within a print production environment, either as an operations or production manager
• Strong knowledge of print processes, equipment and industry standards
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and managing expectations
• Proven successes of process implementation
  
  

Salary & Benefits
The salary for this role is up to GBP50,000 based on experience
