Job Title: Project Director
Project: ASTI Offshore (HVDC) Framework
Location: Scotland
Company Overview:
Our client are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Project Director to lead their ASTI Offshore (HVDC) Framework team. As part of the ASTI team, you will be integral to the pre-construction and construction phases of critical civil engineering projects supporting Scotland s renewable energy infrastructure. In this role, you will shape emerging strategies and work closely with the ASTI Onshore (Substation) Framework team to drive successful project delivery.
Your Mission:
As Project Director, you will oversee key project elements, including:
- Billing and Cost Management: Implement and manage billings and cost procedures during preconstruction.
- Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) Compliance: Ensure SHEQ standards are fully integrated and upheld throughout the project.
- Subcontractor and Bid Management: Develop scopes for bid packages, vet subcontractors, and verify compliance.
- Project Management Support: Lead project management activities to fulfil all contractual requirements.
- Constructability Guidance: Assist site Project Managers with constructability during project planning and manage early-stage resource allocation.
- Commercial Collaboration: Partner with the Commercial Manager and Area Commercial Manager to oversee subcontracts.
What you will need
- Qualifications: Degree or HND in Engineering or equivalent
- Experience: Proven track record as a Project Manager (or equivalent) with successful leadership of complex projects
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of construction environments, operational project contracts, and specific technical knowledge relevant to the project scope
- Leadership and Management: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large-scale projects with a high level of complexity
