Operations Manager Leading Care Home Group

Location: Suffolk-based with regular travel (includes monthly car allowance)
Salary: GBP65K + excellent performance-related bonus (PRP)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the efficient running of our care homes, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and the highest standards of care.

Role Overview:
As the Operations Manager, you will lead and manage multiple care homes, ensuring that they operate smoothly and effectively. You ll play a pivotal role in driving operational improvements, maintaining high-quality care for residents, supporting and mentoring staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and strategic oversight across multiple care homes, ensuring each facility is managed to the highest standards.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor care home managers and staff, cultivating a supportive, inclusive, and high-performance work culture aligned with our company values.
  • Drive financial performance through effective budgeting, reporting, and identifying growth opportunities. Implement strategies to meet and exceed financial targets.
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, while developing action plans to mitigate risks and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Monitor and continuously enhance the quality of care, ensuring residents receive outstanding care in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, staff, and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies. Handle concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Implement and oversee performance monitoring systems, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • NMC Registered Nurse with relevant post-registration experience.
  • Proven experience in managing operations within a care home or similar healthcare setting.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, business development, and reporting.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire teams to deliver high-quality care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of best practices in care delivery and creating a positive, supportive environment for elderly residents.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
