We are Mercato Metropolitano – London, the first sustainable community market with an Italian soul. It currently aggregates around 40 outstanding food and beverage artisans, a retail area, a highly curated cinema, a creative space, a sustainable brewery, three urban farms and a community kitchen. The Mercato Metropolitano’s approach to sustainable community market is based on a movement focusing on small producers, farmers and artisans, principles of circular economy and excellence in food quality and traceability. Mercato Metropolitano has three new London-based sites in development, which are expected to launch this year.

We are looking for:

Mid-level Project Manager

About the role:

· Coordinate internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of projects, focusing on the design and launch of new Mercato Metropolitano sites in London (initially) and country-wide (in the medium term)

· Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

· Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

· Ensure resource availability and allocation

· Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress

· Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

· Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques

· Report and escalate to management as needed

· Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders

· Perform risk management to minimise project risks

· Establish and maintain relationships with third parties professionals and suppliers

· Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

· Attend internal and external meetings to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project

· Delegate project tasks based on relevant staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels

· Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals

· Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis

· Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members

· Perform other related duties as assigned

· Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs.

About you:

· Passion for sustainability and for who we are

· Proven working experience in project management (4/5 years)

· Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, preferably good knowledge of Microsoft Projects or similar project management platforms

· Project Management Professional (PMP)or Six Sigma / PRINCE II certification is a plus

· Working knowledge of private and public procurement

· Contracts management.
