Who We Are:
Manpower Engineering is working in partnership with a leading Out of Home media owner, managing over 33,000 advertising sites across the nation. They are known for their supportive, employee-focused culture and commitment to community and environmental sustainability. Their in-house construction team has successfully delivered hundreds of impactful site builds, from digital units to large-scale billboards. They are now looking for a skilled ICP Project Manager to lead their street furniture projects and drive the accreditation of their Independent Connection Provider (ICP) capabilities.
About the Role:
As the ICP Project Manager, you will play a critical role in leading, planning, and executing electrical projects within the construction portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, you will be responsible for guiding the company through the NERS accreditation process and overseeing connection management. Your role will involve chairing technical meetings, ensuring compliance with DNO and industry standards, and supporting project teams to achieve timely and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, managing scope, schedule, budget, and resources for the accreditation process.
- Lead new supplies and connection/disconnection tasks according to build plans.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders.
- Manage project communication between project managers and teams.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing risk management strategies.
- Oversee budget control and financial goal achievement.
- Enforce project management best practices and quality standards.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule by monitoring timelines and making necessary adjustments.
- Provide support and guidance to project managers to foster collaboration and successful project outcomes.
Required Knowledge & Experience:
- HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on electrical projects.
- Strong electrical background, preferably in the DNO, IDNO, or ICP industry.
- Experience managing electrical infrastructure up to 11 kV to NERS standards.
- Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites.
- Professional Project Management Qualification (APM PMQ/PPQ or Prince2).
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience in highways or related industries such as utility networks.
- Proven success in managing complex projects from start to finish.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team motivation skills.
