An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Research Project Management (RPM) Team for an experienced Assistant Project Manager looking to develop their career. The main objective of the role within the Research Project Management (RPM) Team in the Enterprise Department is to provide day-to-day project management alongside the Project Managers (PMs) looking after the PRESTIGE-AF project and other EU Horizon2020 projects (5 in total). The post-holder will lead on communications and dissemination activities mainly for PRESTIGE-AF EU project, including social media. The role includes leading on event management for the project’s workshops, conferences, and outreach events. The post-holder will also contribute to the development of proposals and commercial tenders, leading on monitoring national and international funding bodies and providing support to RPMs portfolio of projects when required.

The Research Project Management (RPM) office is an integral part of Imperial’s Enterprise Department, which provides commercial and business management services to support the award and delivery of funded programmes and projects. The work of Enterprise directly underpins Imperial’s mission, thereby supporting the development of new or enhanced research, education and/or translation capabilities across all faculties of the university and on behalf of Imperial’s academic community. The RPM has a specific focus on managing a number of high-profile international projects (and bids) funded by the European Commission.

Duties and responsibilities

The post holder will be required to provide close management activities for the PRESTIGE-AF EU project and similar EU projects. They would work alongside other members of the project management team to provide an efficient project management service, including project delivery as well as the development of proposals and supporting bid management activities. The role will include interfacing with key academic staff, supporting contracts and administrative staff as well as representatives from client/customer organisations. The post-holder will lead and coordinate on communication and dissemination activities as well as coordinate event management for PRESTIGE-AF EU project and similar projects.
