We are now looking for someone to head our commercial project management team as our Global Project Management Director. This role would have oversight across all of our commercial campaigns, aiming for excellence in all aspects including stakeholder management, content creation, design and client servicing. You are an inspirational leader, natural relationship builder at all levels and will have a strong track record in delivering exceptional content and marketing solutions across a number of channels.

You will be able to motivate a global team based across London, New York and Hong Kong and drive continuous improvement across all areas campaigns from design, finance, legal and editorial. It will be a challenge but an exciting one which will have a massive impact across all commercial areas of the FT!

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management and implementation of commercial projects across the FT to include (but not limited to) all content projects, channels, publishing partnerships, special reports, and paid posts.

  • Responsible for ensuring clients, agencies and supplier relationships are serviced effectively and efficiently (setting up supplier relationships where warranted)

  • Ensure necessary processes and procedures are in place to ensure the smooth running of projects and Project Management seen as a central ‘Knowledge Bank’.

  • Contribute to the development and evolution of content solutions alongside Sales Heads to ensure complete client satisfaction.

  • Work closely with key internal teams to ensure a complete understanding of the FT’s portfolio to identify appropriate environments and be able to advocate them to clients and agencies.

  • Act as the conduit between Sales and Ops to manage campaigns end to end.

  • Advise and consult on key areas of expertise -ensure appropriate processes and procedures are in place internally so projects run on time to budget so as to maximise profit.

  • Responsible for financial reporting including direct cost allocation and overall profitability.

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships at all levels of the organisation to maximise client satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Be at the forefront of new practices and build a leadership position for FT in this area.

  • Coach, mentor and develop the talent in the project management team.

  • Experience in managing complex clients with multiple touch points

  • Experience in managing and implementing large and complex commercial projects across all media platforms.

  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to spot opportunities to improve business processes and the effectiveness of campaigns

  • A first-class communicator, influencer and leader with the ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business

  • Personal gravitas, presence and credibility with people at all levels of the client and agency world

  • Results driven and execution focused, striving for continuous improvement to maximise commercial opportunities

  • A collaborative nature with the ability to work within and lead teams

  • A self-starter, entrepreneurial individual, able to demonstrate past success in managing innovative projects that meet client needs and generate strong profit.
