Overview of Role

We have an interesting new role for a self-motivated and organised Programme Manager to provide project management for a two-year international collaborative project (end date 31/03/2021). The project objective is to improve the sustainability of rice and oil palm production systems in Colombia by creating and providing better knowledge and decision support services to its stakeholders.

The project supported by the UK Space Agency, is a partnership with the UK-based decision support company, Agricompas and includes six sub-contractors: CIAT, Fedearroz, Cenipalma and Solidaridad (Colombia) and Elastacloud and Pixalytics (UK).

The successful candidate will be strongly self-motivated and have previous experience of managing complex, multi-partner projects. Affinity with agriculture and experience with business support programmes or funding competitions is advantageous. Spanish speaking would be an advantage. Whilst this role is based in Harpenden (UK) it requires travel (monthly reporting in Swindon, quarterly in Colombia). The Programme Manager will be required to liaise with the Colombian project manager to ensure proper overall project delivery.

The role is a fixed term appointment until 31st March 2021.

Interviews will be held 18 February 2018.

Please apply online via our website.
