Our client is an office furniture dealer. They are looking to employ a Project Manager to oversee furniture installations in the London and surrounding areas.

Job Summary:

  • Attend all meetings with Dealers/End Users
  • Closely monitor any requested changes and clearly advise all parties of any delivery implications
  • Establish clear delivery instructions and any vehicle restrictions etc. and liaise and coordinate with Logistics Department
  • Coordinate installation companies in accordance with agreed programme and price
  • Monitor and report on all snagging items and arrange for replacements if necessary
  • Attend site during installation and at end of installation
  • Monitor and report on quality of installation companies
  • Hand over a professionally executed project to the Dealer/End User
  • In conjunction with the Sales Manager and where necessary, manage further requests for top up orders
  • Liaising with suppliers and clients re deliveries and installations
  • Site surveys at order stage to ensure access is good and there are no issues to consider when ordering product
  • Look after key account installations, creating a strong working relationship with the client
  • Carry out furniture audits
  • The position is based in the London office in Clerkenwell and the majority of installations are in London or the home counties
  • There are occasions where projects are further afield in the UK and Europe, which may require travelling and overnight accommodation

Candidate Profile:

  • You must be currently working as a Project Manager in the office furniture sector
  • An ability to demonstrate a high level of project ownership and organisational skills between all stakeholders, including clients, fit-out contractors, suppliers, fitter
  • Ability to overcome issues quickly and cost effectively with minimal disruption to client
  • Ability to resolve snagging issues quickly and effectively with minimum disruption to client
  • Presentable and confident when asked to accompany the sales person at sales pitch client meetings
  • Comfortable with being able to manage client expectations in a mature and confident manner
  • Ability to manage fitting teams, including their quality of work, appearance, attitude and be able to deal with any issues calmly
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail
  • A need to achieve an exceptional understanding of all multiple products, as well as layout drawings and plans
  • A need to have a clear understanding of company systems and procedures within the first 3 months of joining
  • The job will be mostly based in our London office as part of the Sales Team but will involve travel to project sites as where and when required
  • The working hours will be 8.30am until 5pm but you may be required to work outside of those standard working hours on site
  • Good understanding of furniture installations and can think quickly to resolve issues should they occur, with minimum disruption to the client
  • Good communicator and is able to liaise clearly and concisely with the onsite teams and the clients when necessary
  • Practical and technical knowledge of furniture products
  • Competent in the use of Excel, Word and Outlook


  • Basic salary of £45,000 (dependent on experience)
