Our Client is one of the leading Global Services companies providing Engineering Services to various sectors.
This role will be located in the North West working on a Nuclear power Station and requires a specialism in the Engineering of Power Generation and Gas Turbines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Commercial Support: Collaborate with commercial teams on bids and tenders, providing technical and costing expertise and support to secure new business opportunities.
- Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of power generation facilities, including boilers and gas turbines, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintenance Oversight: Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Performance Optimisation: Analyse operational data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
- Project Management: Manage capital projects related to power generation, including upgrades, retrofits, and new installations.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, clients, and external partners to ensure seamless operations and project execution.
Knowledge and Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Extensive experience in power generation, specifically with boilers and gas turbines.
- Proven track record in operations management and team leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
This role is initially for 6 Months as a fixed term contract. It could be either as a salary, or a rate inside or outside IR35. This is open to further discussion.
