Enjoy a mix of projects in an organisation like no other.
The challenge
Often in the public eye, the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) is an evolving public corporation. Essentially, we’re responsible for shaping and delivering the regulation of nuclear safety and security across the UK. In our unique world, you’ll tackle all kinds of projects, from HR upgrades to tech transformation, with vigour, skill and tenacity. For variety and the chance to develop, join us as a Project Manager.
The role
As part of our dedicated team, you’ll manage a range of projects day-to-day. They could involve anything from regulatory updates and IT or efficiency initiatives, to organisational design plans aiming to maximise ONR’s effectiveness, we are also part of the biggest business transformation programme in the public sector in a generation. That means you need to be adaptable and ready to take on projects in line with business needs. We’ll make sure that you rotate through different areas so there’s always something new. Whatever the project, you’ll see that it’s delivered on time, to budget and to the highest standards, working closely with stakeholders. You may be managing projects of moderate complexity or supporting senior project managers – either way, a can-do approach is vital.
The person
Highly proactive, you’ll bring proven expertise. Whatever your background, you’ll be well versed in project management methods, tools and techniques. You will have a recognised project management qualification, and you can further develop your skills at ONR with our full support. However, you’ll first need to show us that you’re highly collaborative, with the communication skills to influence and lead. Experience of change management techniques, tech project management and business analysis would be an advantage, but isn’t essential. More important are resilience, energy, proactivity and determination.
The rewards
We offer competitive salaries at the ONR, with this role attracting a salary of £45,048 - £54,405 plus an additional £4,194 London Weighting Allowance if applicable. Furthermore, you’ll be eligible for a substantial Civil Service Pension scheme (including ill-health retirement and lump sum family benefits), and generous holiday entitlement.
About Us
