Our dynamic projects team is recruiting for an exciting role that is available for the right candidate. The post sits within the Regeneration Directorate’s Major Projects and Infrastructure team; a team that has delivered £400m of investment in schools and over £100m worth of investment in to the city’s public realm and key venues. These inspiring regeneration and renewal projects include a theatre, art gallery, leisure centre, indoor market and a £39m music and conference arena. The team is currently developing school expansions for 2019/20, major improvements to roads, Albion Square – a city centre mixed use development, a £50M cruise terminal and a renewable energy scheme. Other projects will preserve the culture and heritage of our vibrant city; these include the city centre Heritage Action Zone (HAZ), the £80M Fruit Market development, known as Hull’s urban village, Pearson Park and the Beverley Road townscape heritage scheme.

The team is responsible for the delivery of these high profile projects to help Hull achieve its key ambition in the City Plan to become a world class visitor destination.

You will be qualified to professional level with a relevant first degree, or have equivalent experience at a similar level and have excellent communication skills. 

You will assist in the delivery of a multi-million pound, multi-project capital investment programme, you must be highly organised, able to manage complex programmes to tight deadlines and deliver project outcomes. 

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the team which is instrumental in delivering the regeneration of Hull following the success of UK City of Culture 2017

To act as a member of the senior management team working with the City Manager, and Assistant City Manager to oversee the project management of Hull’s strategically influential capital programme, transforming learning and life opportunities across the city. Working with regeneration partners, public, private and voluntary sector to assist in place-shaping and driving forward inward investment.
