London has been selected as one of 12 host cities for the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship (EURO 2020), with Wembley Stadium as the host venue.

Wembley will stage three Group Stage fixtures, one Round of 16 match, both Semi-Finals and the tournament Final. The bid was a collaborative effort involving the Mayor of London, The FA and HM Government. Delivery of the event will be coordinated by a multi-agency Local Organising Structure (LOS).

With direction and oversight provided by the LOS, the Greater London Authority (GLA) is responsible for delivering a variety of tournament related activities, including fan areas, city-dressing and community engagement programmes. In partnership with relevant city agencies, the GLA is also responsible for coordinating the city’s policing and transport plans for the tournament.

The GLA is seeking to recruit three team members to perform the roles of Culture Programme Manager, Community Projects Officer and Project Support Officer.

You will be required to demonstrate experience of project delivery and working with a range of stakeholders. You will have experience of managing multiple priorities and working to challenging deadlines.

You will work within the GLA’s EURO 2020 team to provide effective and comprehensive administrative and project support to the Project Team across a range of areas including: project governance, city volunteering, tournament promotion, and community engagement activities.

We are committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements. We would welcome applications from candidates who are seeking part time work as this role is open to job share.

In addition to a good salary package, we offer an attractive range of benefits including 30 days’ annual leave, interest free season ticket loan, interest free bicycle loan, childcare voucher scheme and a career average pension scheme.

If you have a question about the role or the recruitment process then please contact a member of the recruitment team via email on glajobs@london.gov.uk quoting reference GLA4030.

Application closing date: Sunday 24 March 2019 at 23:59 GMT.

London's diversity is its biggest asset and we strive to ensure our workforce reflects London's diversity at all levels. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, faith or disability.
