The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a Project Manager?

• Lead cross-functional teams of engineers and manufacturing staff to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Apply effective project management techniques consistently, adhering to established processes.
• Set the standard for your team, guiding them to meet targets and mentoring junior staff.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment of project goals.
• Create detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project and manage them within the MS Project Server system.
• Coordinate Phase Gate Reviews for projects, ensuring they are conducted promptly.
• Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively resolving them or escalating when necessary.
• Partner with the Finance Team to establish and monitor budgets, analysing data such as schedule-derived ETCs and risk cost exposure.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Engineering, and Programme Directors to create technical and commercial solutions for client requirements.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of project management processes.

What are we looking for in our next Project Manager?

• Proven experience managing engineering projects through all or parts of the lifecycle, particularly with a focus on production.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate teams to meet critical deadlines and successfully deliver projects.
• Strong understanding of risk management and its practical application in project oversight.
• Proficiency with project management tools, particularly MS Project and MS Project Server or equivalent enterprise tools.
• Familiarity with SAP is an advantage.
• Formal project management certification is desirable.
