Senior project manager
Every person, every community, every single day: we aim to protect London 24/7 and create a safer city for all.
In fact, our vision is to make the capital the safest global city. For that, we need to transform every aspect of how we operate. It's the biggest transformation in the Met's history - and this is an opportunity to play your part in it.
As the UK's largest police service, we employ more than 40,000 people and account for 25% of the national policing budget. The scale, breadth and pace of our transformation is unparalleled, and we are looking for the best talent to help us deliver our ambitious vision. This is your chance to help shape the police service of the future – and to work with highly driven and committed professionals from across the breadth of policing services. Join our world-class Transformation Directorate and we can make it happen.
As a Senior Project Manager, you'll combine three vital qualities: leadership, team focus and expert technical knowledge. It means you can deliver projects across the entire project lifecycle, drawing on relevant qualifications, tenacity and a track record of delivering. You'll be project managing one of the projects within our portfolio, and will have experience of delivering projects at pace or scale, or be able to demonstrate your potential to do so at the Met. Enthusiastic, passionate and driven, you'll have the interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to work with a range of stakeholders, sometimes with competing demands. It's just as important that you can lead matrix managed teams to deliver great results. The projects within our portfolio are exciting, complex and will collectively improve the policing of London.
With your help, we can transform the services we provide to the public; from tackling organised crime to protecting vulnerable people, we will be prepared to respond to every challenge more effectively and efficiently.
Working in our Transformation Directorate will be challenging and rewarding. We provide world-class training and development and a generous reward package, and you will have the satisfaction of knowing you have made an invaluable contribution to keeping London safe.
