Job Opportunity: Project Engineer / Manager (Gateshead)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer / Manager to join a leading provider of maritime solutions at their Gateshead facility. This role involves managing projects for naval customers, including design, procurement, and servicing of replenishment-at-sea equipment and other marine systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee project delivery, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain detailed project management plans, identifying key tasks, budgets, and milestones.
• Manage project finances, including progress tracking, reporting, and cash flow performance.
• Interface with customers and stakeholders, providing updates and ensuring requirements are met.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with internal management systems.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in project management or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven track record in managing complex projects, preferably within the marine sector.
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (APMP accreditation preferred).
• Strong skills in project planning, risk management, and financial control.
