Aylin White have been instructed by an established main contractor in Hertfordshire to provide experienced, client facing, commercially aware project managers due to a number a great project wins.

Established for nearly 30 years our client specialises in delivering high quality, complex refurbishment projects up to £25million across the commercial, healthcare, heritage, residential and education sectors.

With a consistent increase in turnover year on year the company are in a great place financially and are looking to increase their offering and raise their skillset by bringing in ambitious, highly skilled and positive people to the firm.

Responsibilities

Lead the project team and manage the supply chain to deliver projects to time, meeting cost and quality targets and standards

Drive the project forward by building strong relationships with the client and subcontractors

Ensure safety targets and standards are maintained by knowing what safety excellence looks like and communicating safety with passion and credibility in order to inspire, motivate and lead the project team to achieve the vision

Foster a continuous improvement culture by actively seeking input from all members of the project team and encouraging them to implement safety improvements

Proactively manage the customer relationship during delivery, including change and decision making to effectively manage expectations, and maintain long-term relationships

Lead, manage and deliver operational excellence and efficiency through appropriate use of leadership indicator health check reviews through the Bid, Pre-construction and Construction phases of the project

Take commercial responsibility for the project and ensure that this is managed effectively throughout the project

Desired skills and experience

You will have significant previous experience in project management, in particular managing complex jobs within the construction industry.

A qualified and competent Project Manager with experience in various sectors delivering projects from conception to completion valued from £500K - £25m.

You will have strong leadership skills and the ability to lead, influence and communicate with others to deliver targets.
