The Assistant Director, Capital Development will take up the crucial role of built environment capital portfolio leader with responsibility for ensuring that the estate development projects which emanate from the University’s c. £450m capital investment programme are successfully delivered in line with expectations.  The role holder will develop, lead and motivate an internal team of project management professionals to deliver a diverse range of capital projects typically ranging from £2m to £50m in value.

We are seeking a professional with a proven track record in the leadership of large-scale capital projects and programmes across a diverse and complex estate portfolio.  You will have excellent leadership and management skills, a very high level of commercial acumen and adept planning and organising abilities gained in a relevant context in the property and construction industry.  The position calls for an individual with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and who has a high level of resilience, adaptability, energy and drive.
