We’re Hiring a Web Development Project Manager

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Web Development Project Manager to join the ever-growing web arm of Passion Digital.

The role of the Web Development Project Manager is to ensure that all web projects are completed on time and within budget, that the project’s objectives are met and that everyone internally/externally is doing their job properly.

Projects are usually separate to usual day-to-day business activities and require a group of people to work together to achieve a set of specific objectives. Project managers oversee the project to ensure the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used, and the different parties involved are satisfied.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical 
feasibility
• Delivery of detailed brief’s and SOW’s
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Develop detailed project plans and progress reports
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
• Attend frequent strategic face-to-face meetings to understand business KPIs
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Managing and planning all work through the digital/creative department
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Commercial awareness for both project and internal purposes
• Improving processes and encouraging accurate planning
• Basic knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
• Basic knowledge of PHP
• Content population on various CMS’s (WordPress, Shopify, Drupal, Craft CMS)
• Performing QA processes on staging environments before pushing live
• New business creation and pitching ideas to prospective clients

Desirables

• Great educational background, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering for technical
project managers
• Proven working experience as a project administrator in the digital marketing sector
• Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in web technologies
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Agile / PRINCE II certification is a plus
• In tune with current industry practices
• Good knowledge of JIRA or other Project Management software
• Awareness of all key digital marketing channels (SEO, PPC, Social, UX/CRO)

Skills and Attributes

• Great communication and grammar skills with excellent attention to detail
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in web design and development
• Perfect written and spoken English
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, working across multiple projects simultaneously
• Good ability to manage stakeholders and ensure they are up to date on projects
• 2-3 years’ experience in a client-facing role
• Team management experience
• A positive, energetic, ambitious individual who wants to thrive in a dynamic environment
• A desire to progress within the agency and take on increasing commercial responsibility
