We are looking for a an IT-savvy Senior Infrastructure Project Manager with strong technical knowledge to make an impression on a global business, mobilising a virtual team to help us deliver valuable productivity improvements.

What's the role?

You'll join our Infrastructure Projects and Product Development team (IPPD) and play a key role in accelerating productivity and driving business value. Assigned to our End User Productivity portfolio, you'll immerse yourself in the latest mobility, collaboration and cloud technologies to enable our people to truly leverage mobile and consumer-centric ways of working. Major themes include a focus on the Digital Workspace including, client platforms supporting access to applications & data from multiple devices. In addition you will focus on mobility, enriching business process outcomes by providing access to information anywhere anytime and anyplace. 

Your role will be plan and execute large-scale (and often complex or high-risk) programmes, mobilising a team of colleagues, contractors, suppliers and infrastructure providers. You'll need to work virtually and across organisational boundaries, helping your team to thrive and deliver, even under pressure. Your remit also includes:

• Proactively engaging with stakeholders
• Applying Shell control/assurance methodologies
• Rigorously managing scope, keeping watch for anything that could threaten a project being delivered on time, to cost and quality targets.
• Creating and validating financial forecasts
• Establishing governance structures that enable you to effectively obtain resources, drive decisions and deliver objectives.

What we need from you

It's an ideal move for someone who's gained an IT degree and spent their formative years in IT, followed by several years' IT Project Management experience. You've shown you're technically savvy, highly analytical and quick-thinking - the kind of person who can deliver in a dynamic, ever-changing commercial environment.

Much depends on your relationship-building skills. You'll need to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders, proactively understanding their priorities and keeping them updated on progress. If there's conflict, you'll resolve it, delivering tough messages with grace and in a language that your audience understands. 

On top of that, we want to hear from men and women with as many of the following as possible on their CVs:

• Capable of applying Agile methodologies.
• PMP or Prince2 certification.
• Proof of applying project management methodologies and tools across different projects and programmes.
• Experience of implementing cloud technologies or services.
• Experience of Client Hardware (Wintel, Mac, Chromebook, Mobility & wearables)
• Strong knowledge with Modern Client Management (Unified Endpoint Management)
• Proficient with Client Software (Classic Client Windows 10, MacOS, Chrome, Modern Browser, MS Office Productivity Suite)
• Corporate Mobility Management (Mobile Device Management, Mobile Application Management, VMware Airwatch /workspace one as well as Citrix Application hosting
• Strong experience of collaboration and enterprise information Management including Shared Storage, Public Folders, Lync/skype and video conferencing (Skype room systems)
