The Transformation Directorate is running a campaign for the role of PMO and Change Control Officer to work in the Portfolio Office.

Control changes effectively in order to maintain a single version of the truth on the scope of the portfolio. Define and align the portfolio in line with the priorities of the sponsoring group. Provide P3M expertise and assurance framework for effective governance and controls, resourcing, benefits management, risk management, planning and dependency management to enable the successful delivery of programme outcomes and benefit realisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Champion and implement risk identification, analysis, and management, supporting the vision to attain a world-class transformation function
  • Lead and manage the creation, continuous improvement, and consistent use of risk tools and governance across the portfolio, setting and communicating processes, embedding good practice techniques and standards (working with the PPM CoE on setting standards)
  • Work closely with the portfolio office leadership team, project and programme managers and PO stakeholders (including enabling functions) to understand the risk profiles across the portfolio, delivering meaningful insights
  • Define and align the portfolio in line with the priorities of the sponsoring group. Provide P3M expertise and assurance framework for effective governance and controls, resourcing, benefits management, risk management, planning and dependency management to enable the successful delivery of programme outcomes and benefit realisation Portfolio office
  • Provide overall direction and expertise for risk identification, analysis, and management
  • Be the go-to expert for TD risk across the portfolio, providing guidance, signposting and good practice support
  • Apply advanced knowledge in the technical/professional discipline of risk management, providing insights and challenge to senior leadership
  • Manage the risk specialism to help achieve the transformation directorate vision of becoming world class
  • Promote an outcomes focused, collaborative culture in the specialism where everyone
  • Lead long term development and continuous improvement of risk management capability, ensuring it is resourced with people who have the required skills, experience and motivation to do their roles effectively
  • Ensure delivery of risk management outputs and deliverables
  • Manage and coordinate the risk processes for all projects and programmes related to Transformation Directorate
  • Ensure that there is effective provision of hands on support and guidance to the programmes across the risk specialisms, ensuring consistency of approach, ways of working and processes
  • Ensure the programmes carry out quantified risk assessments
  • Works with the risks and assurance teams to monitor corporate risks and controls
