About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee a new-build housing development in Middlesbrough. The project involves the construction of high-quality residential units, requiring a proactive and detail-oriented professional to ensure its successful delivery.

As the Project Manager, you will take full ownership of the project, managing teams, ensuring compliance, and driving performance to meet deadlines and budgets. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced freelancer to work with a well-respected developer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle, from planning and groundworks to completion and handover.
  • Coordinate and lead site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing potential risks or delays.
  • Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards on site.
  • Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and reports.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure that all work meets design specifications and client expectations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager on new-build housing projects or similar residential developments.
  • Excellent leadership and team coordination skills, with a strong focus on delivering results.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK building regulations, construction standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to manage budgets and schedules effectively, ensuring financial and operational success.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications (essential).
  • Own transport and ability to commute to the site in Newcastle.
