Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee mechanical aspects of commercial contracts, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate and collaborate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring high performance and a safe working environment.
- Provide technical support and resolve issues that arise during the lifecycle of the project.
- Ensure all mechanical systems are installed in compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to stay on track.
- Regularly report to senior management and stakeholders on project status, risks, and milestones.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and change orders.
- Support business development and tendering processes by providing technical expertise.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Mechanical Project Manager, preferably within the commercial contracting sector.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, commercial contracts, and construction processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Sound understanding of project management software and tools.
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or project management.
- Chartered status (e.g., CEng, MCIBSE, or equivalent) is advantageous.
- A strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
