Are you an experienced IT Operations professional seeking your next challenge?

I am currently seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to join a forward-thinking organisation. This pivotal role will see you managing critical IT functions and leading a team to deliver exceptional infrastructure support and operational services.

Your responsibilities as the IT Operations Manager will include managing infrastructure operations, setting strategic service directions, maintaining standards, and collaborating with IT Security and Information Governance teams. You'll also manage budgets, lead team development, drive operational improvements, and support business continuity.

Key Responsibilities for the IT Operations Manager:

As the IT Operations Manager, you will oversee and ensure the smooth running of various functions, including:

  • Networks and Wi-Fi
  • Data Centre Operations, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity
  • Operational Security
  • Server, Storage, and Backup Solutions
  • Switches, Firewalls, and OS Virtualisation
  • Cloud and IaaS Services
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM)
  • Telemetry Communications

Key skills for the IT Operations Manager:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT Operations, with expertise in infrastructure management, ITIL processes, and customer service.
  • Proven experience with technologies such as Microsoft OS, Linux, Hyper-V, switches/routers, firewalls, SAN, and operational security.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams of 10+ staff.
  • Demonstrable experience in project management, preferably with PRINCE2 certification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of technology architecture patterns and frameworks.
  • A customer-focused approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) and experience within the energy/utility sector would be advantageous.
