Are you a skilled Project Manager with experience delivering wastewater or water infrastructure projects? We are seeking an experienced freelance professional to lead the successful delivery of a wastewater treatment plant project as part of the AMP8 framework.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated contractor to work with a leading infrastructure company on a high-profile project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight: Manage the complete lifecycle of the wastewater treatment plant project, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery within budget.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee and coordinate a multidisciplinary project team, including engineers, site staff, and subcontractors.
  • Client Interface: Act as the main point of contact for the client and key stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring their requirements are met.
  • Programme Management: Create, monitor, and update project schedules, ensuring all activities are aligned with project milestones.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards across all project operations.
  • Commercial Awareness: Work closely with the commercial team to manage project finances, minimise risks, and ensure cost-effective delivery.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve project challenges, adapting to changing circumstances while maintaining project objectives.

Key Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Project Manager within wastewater or water infrastructure projects, ideally under AMP frameworks (AMP6, AMP7).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of civil engineering and M&E works related to wastewater treatment processes.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and contractual arrangements.
  • A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
  • Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.
  • Availability to work on a freelance basis and travel to site locations across the North West.
