Accountable to the project sponsor and has full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects that deliver improved effectiveness of the global Salesforce tool across BSI business units and geographies.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Takes responsibility for the definition, documentation and safe execution of projects, engaging with stakeholders and driving all phases of the project. Identifies, assesses and manages risks and issues which could affect the success of the project.

  • Effectively estimates costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful delivery of the project(s) to agreed terms of reference.

  • Ensures that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and tracks all activities against the plan, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders, as appropriate.

  • Monitors costs, timescales and resources used and takes action where these deviate from agreed tolerances. Ensures that delivered systems are implemented within these criteria.

  • Manages the change control procedure and ensures that project deliverables are completed within planned cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off. Gains agreement for revisions to the project(s) from project sponsors and other stakeholders (e.g. design authority, project board, change authority) as appropriate.

  • Ensures that own projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are captured, actioned and reported to the appropriate organisational entities for dissemination towards organisational learning and improvement. Produces appropriate documentation to support these processes.

  • Evaluates and makes recommendations/decisions on technical options as appropriate.

  • Ensures predictive change management planning, including engagement with change management team to develop and deliver change management strategies;

  • Assesses the readiness levels of business users with regard to upcoming changes; identifies readiness gaps and creates and implements action plans to close the gaps prior to go-live.

  • Agrees with stakeholders the output and outcomes in the form of a prioritised schedule of activities and necessary commitments prior to going live.

  • Identifies the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups. Translates communications / stakeholder engagement strategies into specific activities and deliverables.

  • Facilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders, acting as a single point of contact by developing, maintaining and working to stakeholder engagement strategies and plans.

  • Collects supplier performance data (quantitative and qualitative) and investigates problems.

  • Monitors and reports on suppliers' performance, customer and market intelligence. Validates that suppliers' performance is in accordance with contract terms.

  • Engages proactively and collaboratively with suppliers to resolve incidents, problems, or unsatisfactory performance.

  • Implements supplier service management related improvement initiatives and programmes.

We currently have an exciting contract opportunity in Chiswick, working as a Project Manager - Salesforce within the Transformation team.

To succeed in this role, you will have the following:

  • Proven experience of managing end-to-end global projects, including both business and technology change elements.

  • Understanding of the Salesforce platform and experience of managing Salesforce change.

  • Managed the end to end project lifecycle from initiation to close across business resources, external suppliers, corporate functions and CIO teams.

  • Has held sole responsibility for managing the project, including management of governance and regular engagement with business sponsors.

  • Has a comprehensive knowledge of relevant system development life-cycles.

  • Has sound commercial, organisational and time management skills.

  • Pays attention to detail and has good interpersonal skills.
