Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop and manage detailed project plans, including objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Team Leadership: Inspire and lead project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Stakeholder Management: Proactively engage with stakeholders to align project objectives and address their needs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk Management: Identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts on project success.
- Budget Management: Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring financial goals are met.
- Progress Monitoring: Track project milestones, adjust plans as necessary, and ensure the project stays on schedule.
- Communication: Provide clear and consistent updates to stakeholders, team members, and senior management.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and project specifications.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, plans, and lessons learned.
- Post-Project Evaluation: Conduct evaluations to identify improvements for future project delivery.
Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced professional who possesses the following:
Personal Attributes:
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to motivate and guide teams towards achieving project goals.
- Problem-Solving Ability: A proactive mindset to tackle challenges and adapt to changing requirements.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to project planning and execution.
- A minimum of 5 years working as a lead engineer or project manager in the water or wastewater industry.
- Significant experience delivering large-scale design-and-build projects, valued between GBP500k and GBP5m.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in a design-and-build project delivery role within the water industry.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to driving continuous improvement.
- EUSR (Water Hygiene) Certification.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
- First Aid at Work (3-day certification).
- NEC3 Contract knowledge and experience.
- The role will involve travel across various sites in the UK to ensure successful project delivery.
- Candidates based near the Affinity Water region (Hatfield office) are preferred, though travel flexibility is essential.
