This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Environment team, supporting work on delivering the Mayor’s London Environment Strategy.
As the Programme and Business manager, you will support the Assistant Director by ensuring progress is monitored against the London Environment Strategy and Implementation Plan including periodic reporting to the Management Team, Deputy Mayor and Corporate teams on KPIs and performance measures set out in the London Environment Strategy implementation plan. You will also manage the team’s budgets across the range of programmes and projects administered by the unit. You will lead the Business support team, a small team providing administrative and project related support to the Environment Unit.
The role requires a flexible, adaptable, and collaborative approach. We are looking for someone with: excellent line management and organisational skills; strong programme and (multi £million) budget management and reporting skills with a strong track record of using associated software. You will also need to demonstrate experience of problem-solving skills; excellent writing and relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
We are committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements. We would welcome applications from candidates who are seeking part time work as this role is open to job share.
In addition to a good salary package, we offer an attractive range of benefits including 30 days’ annual leave, interest free season ticket loan, interest free bicycle loan and a career average pension scheme.
