Currently looking for a Mechanical Project Manager for a new build commercial project in Basingstoke.
The Mechanical Project Manager will be running the Duct Work installation within a new building commercial project to the value of GBP5.2 million
Role Overview:
The Mechanical Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical projects, focusing on HVAC systems, ductwork, and piping installations. The role requires a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, project management, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage mechanical projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Coordinate and supervise the installation of HVAC systems, ductwork, and piping.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Lead and coordinate with on-site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with mechanical, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure project quality standards.
- Prepare progress reports, manage client relationships, and address any project issues.
- Oversee procurement of materials and ensure availability for project timelines.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in managing mechanical projects, particularly HVAC, piping, and ductwork.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, design, and installation practices.
- Excellent project management skills, with proficiency in scheduling and budgeting tools.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
This is a Monday to Friday role, with some overtime available
The project will run for 8 months with continueing work available afterwards
