Zephyr is the world's leading solar-electric stratospheric unmanned aerial vehicle. As part of the Zephyr team, you will be able to explore the unlimited opportunities of the future UAV technologies by supporting many different projects within the program. During your work period, you will be able to experience all aspects project management and observe the specifics of project organization. Working in a positive and motivated team you will be able to explore your full potential in the area of project management. Tasks: During this internship, the activities you may undertake will include; * Supporting and following Zephyr's senior project managers or members of the PMO to develop an understanding of the project requirements to the point where you will be able to manage your own project or work package. At this point you will then take responsibility for updating your own project plans and schedules, ensuring deliveries are on time, cost and quality, managing risk and issues and provide regular reports to all project stakeholders. * Depending on the type of project you will also be expected to take responsibility for engagement with the customer, as well as coordinating with supporting functions such as procurement, finance, commercial, logistics and export. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following; * Qualified to degree level in a business related degree or Engineering with a keen interest in Project Management. * Proficient in MS Project and MS Office inc. Excel, Word, and Power Point with recent practical experience * Good communication skills and a personable approach that will unify team members who are often working under pressure. * Ability to work autonomously once tasked with an activity * Experience of delivering innovative, high technology systems operating in a harsh and remote environment. * Experience supporting the management of high value, technology development projects including systems integration activities. * Experience of working in engineering, ideally aerospace is advantageous but not essential Please ensure that a covering letter detailing motivations and suitability for this position is included in your application.
