Job Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Systems Administrator to join our Technology team.
The IT Systems Administrator plays a key role in ensuring the stability, security and performance of the organisation’s IT environment. Designed for a strong 2nd Line engineer with developing 3rd Line capability, this role offers a structured pathway into full systems administration.
Working closely with the Infrastructure & IT Security Manager, you will support the administration of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, servers, virtualisation platforms, networks and security controls. As your capability grows, you’ll progressively take ownership of infrastructure components, contribute to security improvement activity, and support business change initiatives with increasing independence.
Qualifications (Desirable)
· Azure Administrator Associate (AZ‑104) or equivalent.
· ITIL Foundation.
· CompTIA Security+.
· CCNA or equivalent networking qualification.
· Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect SC‑100
Experience
· Strong 2nd‑line experience with sustained exposure to 3rd‑line duties.
· Hands‑on experience working alongside the Infrastructure and IT Security Manager.
· Experience administering M365, Azure AD, Intune, Teams, and identity platforms.
· Practical experience supporting server or cloud workloads.
· Proven troubleshooting across networking fundamentals.
· Involvement in security, patching, and infrastructure administration.
Skills
· Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
· Strong troubleshooting and system administration ability.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
· Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
· Clear communication for non‑technical audiences.
