Gina Wookey
Business Development Manager - MembershipI have worked at APM for 6 months and my role here is as a Business Development Manager. My role is to identify new corporate partners and affiliates from across the retail, public and energy sector.
Everyone is extremely welcoming and friendly. I felt part for the family straightaway! It's clear that APM look after their employees well, which shone through my induction process, and since passing my probation.
Although I am fully supported, I also feel like I have a certain level of autonomy too, which makes you feel trusted and respected to be able to get on with your role and and do it well.
I have really enjoyed my first 6 months at APM. Already I have learnt so much and acquired a deeper understanding of the project world. I have also had the opportunity to attend and support some of the bigger APM events, such as Women in Project Management, which was really inspiring. I have just been invited to take my Project Fundamentals Qualification (which is offered to all staff when they have passed probation), which I am really excited to do.
About Association for Project Management
We’re Association for Project Management (APM). We’re a professional membership organisation that sets the standards for the project profession. As a registered charity, we reinvest our surplus for the benefit of our members and the profession.
We deliver education and develop qualifications. We conduct research and provide knowledge and resources. We run events and share best practice. We give people the opportunity to connect and provide community for our individual members and corporate partners, wherever they are. Above all, when doing so makes a difference, we challenge the status quo.
